^^^^^ you can... but you have to be careful as to how many coats you lay on... this is already received two coats and any more will compromise the fitment of the sink on/with the covers... Also with these sinks/fins it also makes it hard to do that.... as you would only be able to sand/buff the outside sides... and not the inside of the fins and stuff... just makes it difficult to have any consistency through-n-though... i have done sanding and buffing and then applied additional coats... and it works out great... but tbh part of wavy-ness (what some might call orange-peel) tend to be just the characteristic of powder.

I can get glass like finishes if i shoot/coat glass... but on any/all metal it is difficult as you have to have the underlaying sub just like glass which most metal(s) are not....

The thing/way to go about it would be to use a primer- like KL primer which loves to be sanded and smoothed out... when i lay primers down which i will be doing on the bath-tubs' feet i have in shop- and that is because of the feet are cast and have pits and shit... so i would in that case lay primer down and sand... and then base coat- but as with the feet i can 1) get to all areas on the parts with sander... 2) there is no concern about fitment as they are just through-holed on to the tub... IOW no tolerances to be concerned with....

BUT in person they look fantabulous - it looks lil wavy in pics... but it is what it is... in person they look fab... could i get smoother - yeah perhaps if primer was used and then sanded smooth... but were talking about tons of work with sanding and buffing and then cleaning again for subsequent coats.

Please understand I was not criticizing I was just curious. AS you said powder tends to have a slight waveyness to them and had just wondered. I figured you could but just wasn't sure.
