Ti1200.1

Post by smgreen20 »

I don't recall, but is it a class A/B or D?

The manual in the archive section didn't say.

There's 2 on ebay and I half tempted in place of the Audison along w/a Ti500.4????

TI1200.1 is A/B. If you want Phoenix Gold class D then is Tantrum T1200.1, Xenon X1200.1, X600.1, X400.1, RSD1200.1, RSD600.1 and Octane-R R15.0:1.

Class-T and Class-D refer to the same technology. Class-T its just Tripath marketing.

But I was looking at the 1400 x 1 @ 2 ohm number. I'd love to have the Tantrum, but I wouldn't want to use is as she's an endangered species. The RSD would be next in line for my choice, but I'm not sure of the actual output of one.

if i were going for a mega-watt setup i would likely use xenon amps. the 1200.1 is NFJ, which stands for "No FU@K#NG Joke" and the 200.4 has caught my attention big time.

just imagine this...
four rsdc10"
two xenon 1200.1
a killer 3 way setup in front powered by the 200.4
you could even add a center channel and rear fill powered by another 200.4 ???

2- Ti 500.4

2-Ti RMD, Lpl, PG 1/0 Ga
Ti 6.5 comps, Ti 5x7 coaxials

They are really not that hard to find, Matt still has these two as far as I know.

But imagine a PG XENON 200.4, 1200.1,BassCube, Audio Control DQS, Street wires fused power/ground distro block ALL fitting behind the rear bench seat and 2 12" TREO SSi12.22's under the rear bench seat in a '00 GMC Sierra Ext cab!!!!!!! Amp size is a big concern. Possibly a 1200.1 and a 100.4, but that is pushing my space limitations big time.

For all I know the Ti1200.1 and Ti500.4 might be to big,. but I KNOW the XENONs are. The new Ti2500.1/600.4 will just fit. I can relocate the BassCube to behind the glove box, which I probably will anyway.

That's one reason that the Audison is looking better and better every time.

if you go xenon, you can save 4 inches by taking off the rubber boots! and 4 more by putting them in a cooling rack like my maxima install!
