lol i understand the too much treble part.. although it would only be off h/u amp.. which as well all kno isnt much.. but wouldnt it help the imaging by bringing it up higher.. ?? i mean im just curious.. and in reality it would save me money and headache to not purchase the extra set and deal w/ installation lol so im definately not against.. not using them just exploring possibilities..

Some people do this to raise their stage height, but you would need EQing to bring the treble level back down. Boston even makes tweeters specifically for this purpose, to go with their kits.

I wouldn't do it unless you've exhausted all other options for raising your height.

then leave the tweets off the door and use the pillar ones instead.
You can get a superb stage from tweets in the kicks *if* they're up for it, and you aim them properly. Try it! Leave the passive XO outside the door, and test with the tweet on the dash and below it but aimed directly at the center of your head. YMMV!

really? wow. the only reason my tweets aren't down there is because my leg would be in the way whilst driving.

well i plan on using either a teq4/6 for 8v signal to back and also for a little added eq'ing, would that be sufficient for what they provide stip?
(daily driver here.. no going overboard) plan on running just a pair of comps/coax up front off a 100.2 and a single sub off a 400.1 (ish lol)

Wait and see how it sounds first. You probably won't need them.

Ja... Ambient tweeters are a bandaid for the "rainbow effect" that you get with kickpanel setups. Unless you actually have problems with a low soundstage, you shouldn't need them.
