You probably won't have any power issues at 2 ohms. My friend is running a ZX500 at 2 ohms in his 240sx right now, with a ZX450 as well, and has no issues. Probably has a smaller alternator than yours.

On the other hand, you would save half the space, at the cost of maybe 3-4dB, tops. More power to one sub also means it's more controlled. And there should be an SQ improvement by running at 4 ohms as well (whether or not it's an audible difference is another question).

There is no right answer. Experiment!

this is a toughy...I love the idea of running too...BUT that being said...space is a good thing to have as well...and I know that one of these subs would hammer really well on its own off the 600 Ti... while experimenting would help...Im getting into my VERY busy season for work in a week or two, leaving me with little time to get this done or it'll get lost in the mix till fall.

soo.... :hmm: what to do what to do...

thanks for the power input stipud...I didn't think I'd have much trouble...the jeep runs more than 14.5 volts regularly, Im pretty sure its a 160a high output alt too... I'll be posting as i make a decision...whcih will be pronto...was gonna build my box tomorrow..
Is this where Im supposed to write something catchy??

Good Work dude.... i knew you'd enjoy 2 much better. even with summer coming and the higher temps, i would doubt it overheats. i drove the snot outta my 400ZXTi and it never went into thermal. again you made the right choice..... :D
