New to the site. 275/2125 question

Post by blacksvtf03 »

I'm new to the site just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am thinking of buying two MS275's and a MS2125. Anything I should know or look out for?

Welcome to the site.

Be sure that the input caps are replaced, if not you must have them replaced. Rail caps are optional, but recommended.

If new caps are replaced and the amp is used properly, the amps should last as long as you have them.

Also be sure that there are no loose copper strands inside the board. Many times i've seen strands getting caught between the legs of the Fets and eventually lead to blown fets (or any other thing in the board)

Other then those potential issues, both are great amps

If you are looking at any of the PG stuff listed on eBay. USE EXTREME caution if it is listed by andy4879 he just put a lot up and is a know scam artist. He miss represents is listings uses pic of one amp and sends another or just flat out lies.
