Looks good. Wish I had some sort of program to use like that.

I've never been a big fan of CV, but for some reason I've always liked the Strokers. Looks I guess. If it were me, I'd only put a PG logo on the plexi. That ZERO point one looks good. I'd keep it, but I've always been a fan of the PG logo that says Phoenix Gold w/the RCA behind it. Also the
"No Limits" logo.

I'm sure what ever you choose to put on there, it'll come out great. You're one of only a VERY few that I've seen put so much work in the plans before the work begins.
My truck is a '99 silverado 2500. The tranny tunnel is only 3" tall. I measure the current box which clear it several times. Hopefully it will fit **fingers crossed**.

Google Sketchup is totally free to use, just download it, do the tutorial projects and you will be a pro in no time.

Hopefully I will have it finished up today. I have to go back to work tomorrow, so if I don't have it done, it will be next week...

Thanks, and yes, I will be edge lighting it. I am most likely going to order some cold cathode tubes for it.

Here are a few poser shots of the box with the windows in. Port is cutout, a bit wobbly, I did it with the jig saw, but it will buff out ;) I am probably going to put the port back together, make sure the lid fits and then hopefully glass the inside yet today. I have come to the realization that it isn't going into the truck until my next few days off.

I just realized I had not yet tried to see if the sub fit. The bolt circle is a little tight, and I already blew out one of the tee nuts. So, when the time comes, I am going to use just standard nyloc nuts. I will have to take the top off the box to get them out, but it will still be better than dealing with frigging tee nuts.

Thanks guys! I didn't get very much further today, I was pretty well shot after my last post. Anyhow, I just pulled the plexi windows back out, drilled and installed the front rows of screws for the baffles, and I called it a day. I am a bit disappointed that I don't have the SOB in the truck right now. I thought three days would be more than enough time to get it done, but the mickey mouse shit always bites you in the ass.

Even though the box is about there, I still have to seal it, paint the inside, cover the outside, and build an amp rack. I only have one day off next week, hopefully I can pull it together, but it may be a while yet. Gives me something to look forward too, but I was hoping to get it knocked out and get back to some other stuff, like the plexis and BC remotes...

I'll take/post some new pics today. It'll be around noon, central time, if that's OK.

If you take the fire retardant noise reducing "stuff" off of the back wall towords the top you'll see a lip of steel that a trim piece attaches to... It's hollow behind it. I just drilled into it.

My box took me three weeks just to get it to how it looks now. With all of those odd angles. I'm still waiting to finish it. Wife needs a new-to-her car so every extra penny is going to that fund.

It has been in the back of my mind for the whole process. Inside finish shouldn't be to bad. I plan to glass the inside, just resin to seal it up and give it a smooth surface. I will paint it with probably a hammered metalic, or maybe just a gloss color of some sort. The tough part is going to be coming up with a good seal for the lid that will allow it to come off and on and still seal. I am thinking either weather stripping, or self adhesive gortex seal. We will see...

Weather stripping is an excellent sealer. I used some to seal my subwoofers which had no rubber gasket and it worked great. I could remove the subs at any time and put them back in with no problems.

Rope caulk works well too. Either or will do. After all it's a ported box......

Here are the picks. The "loop" that the back of the seat tabs go in is attached to that panel I was referring to. Hope these do well.

I would use a threaded insert to hold the speakers in so that you don't see the fastener through the window. I am talking about the type where you will drill a larger hole and then screw the insert into the hole. The insert looks like a little like a drill bit on the outside so that it will tighten up in the hole and is threaded inside for machine screws.

For seals on removable panels I have often seen 3M double sided tape used. You just don't peel off the plastic off of one side so that it will only stick to one side, and when you tighten it down then it makes a good seal all the way across the tape(3/4" is plenty).
