Ti-DEQ

Post by shaheen »

HI guys

here is a quick question from Sunny South Africa.

I bought a Ti-DEQ from Ben, the black one, I think it's the only black one around, but I digress.

What I found is a high pitch noise on the unit , which is played through my tweeters, it sounds like 16k up .

I read in one of the mags as well the experienced this, anyone know how to get rid of it.

If you want "to get rid of it." the whine that is, give it to me. You'll never hear a whine out of it again.

I believe there was a firmware fix for that. You need a serial cable to download it.

Try emailing PG support and see if they can send you the file.

Here is a link to the adjustment software:

do you get the whine with or without the serial port connected??
i personally had trouble with blowing my right tweeter whilst adjusting from my laptop,i put capacitors inline with my tweets to protect them i also got upgraded eproms but the spike still happens every now and then but the caps stop the high freqs blowing my tweets
hope this helps
its nice to be important , but its more important to be nice
