deflex vs acoustic foam ?

Post by bdubs767 »

Logically in my mind, wouldn't acoustic foam be superior since it asorbes the back waves instead of dispersing like a deflex pad? I may be off be I think my logic is pretty good here.

i wouldn't go so far as to say the foam would be superior, but if used properly it should be just as effective. Had the president of HushMat in the shop the other day to give us a sales pitch and I posed this very question to him since hushmat doesn't sell a deflex/dynaxorb type product. btw, have you seen Hushmat's accoustical foam!? that stuff is fantastic.
