How to properly use an LPL 44 knob?

Should I get one to use with my x600.1 and RSD12?

What is the best way to set my system up?

YES! they are awesome!

it is used as an attinuator, so set your gains just a hair over normal and rock out!

You are supose to set your gains with the LPL on at the full setting. I personally set it with my LPL in the middle.

So gains just above normal, no bass boost as usuall, It basically makes the sub louder or quieter?

Is it the same as having gains control at the drivers seat? So obviously you can easily you can clip your amp if your not careful correct?

Do you just mount the knob on the dash somewhere? Or is there something you mount it too that shows how much you turn it up by?

I have mine in my center console, along with my bass cube remote. Works real sweet giving that much control of your bass in the drivers seat

yep, you just mount it on the dash/center console/wherever handy.

it is sort of like a gain knob except you can only use the LPL to turn the gain DOWN from where you have already set it.

it DOES make it possible to clip the amp, but only if your gain is set with the potential to clip in the first place

So, turning ip clockwise turns the sub down? Or do you have to reverse the black and yellow wires on the lpl.

On mine the way it came was clockwise mean more bass, counter clockwise means less bass.

I built a custom panel to house 3 potentiometers above an AC Four1.i line driver. As mentioned, any raw control from the driver's seat allows you to customize as needed. You'll have your fingers on them all the time. Highly recommended.

The left one controls an Epicentre.
The centre one controls a PG AX 406A active crossover.
The right one controls a ESP2 spatial restorer. (Rarely used except for older recordings)

That's an older pic. I pulled 3 matching knobs off some old test equipment that clean this up somewhat.

a bass cube is an actual remote bass boost control with an adjustable frequency selector.

so you could choose a boost at say....30hz and increase it by 12db. (purely hypothetical)
