What were they?

Post by smgreen20 »

Which RSD was it? The 4" or the 3 1/2" that had a nearly ruler flat response?

There's a 3 1/2" and a 4" coax on the bay and I'm temped to get it for a 3-way front end w/the RSD6.5c

I'm going to remove the Elites and store/keep them as collectibles. In their place I will be putting in the RSD6.5c's. I"d do a 3-way (if the girls are hot) if I can find a nice looking grille for the 3 1/2" RSD.

Anybody know where I can find one? Hopefully looking similar to the RSD6.5c grilles.

Unfortunately I never got to deal with the 3.5" bad boy. After Errin shared his results and opinions of them I kept trying to order them but they were on indefinite back order while I was a dealer. They don't come with a grill similar to the bigger speakers I take it. As unique as the RSD grills were you'd almost be better off finding a more standard set of metal mesh grills for all the speakers or building your own.

Im running 4'' rsd's in my vans pillars and I have some in my truck and I do kinda find the grills similar to the rsdc6.5cs , Just saying , the smaller speakers just have a little metal mesh.

I like the ryval grills better :?

I honestly never heard tell of this. Seriously flat response eh? Can someone tell more. I may pick a set up myself. Sounds like a nice idea for a cheap studio monitor.

acording to errin they played +-3db from like 300-17k so you would likly still want a mid and tweet to compliment it...but yes, very flat

thats awesome, Im probably not too worried about the roll off on the high end but I had already planned using a rsd 6.5 for the rest. Should turn out nice in an active bi-amp setup.
