A Few Q's Of M25.

Post by Marcotah »

Hi Guys.
I have a couple of M25 pushing my Ti6Elites on "Dual Mono" Config (One Bridged for each side).
I'd Like to Know If is There someone that has the Silk Screen for Them, cuz I would like to make a new pait job with them to match my car colors (Metallic Black + Solid Red).
I'm Thinking About some upgrades too, something like Burr Browns, and Elna capacitors.
CAn anyone help me at least with the silk screen?
Thanks!

I am working on the silkscreening for the M44 and M100 (among other stuff as well as most know), Once i get one of them (an mseries set up/artwork) the other (and any other m series) will be easy to produce after getting the first one done.
BUT not sure what exactly it is you are looking for, the silk screen artwork, or the actual silkscreen and frames to do your self, or a place to send you cover out to get silk screened?, and/or even painted then silkscreened the colors you mentioned?? Maybe you could clarify that a little?
You are welcome to look at my m-series project here (http://phoenixphorum.com/my-m44-project-vt10465.html
) to get an idea of what I am doing, and how it is going along maybe to help you out, or if you would like shoot to me and I can make it happen for you - ONCE I get the artwork lined up for the 44 and 100, i could prolly work the 25 and others up after that pretty easily.

M

Ok, Thanks Man.
I'm looking for a silkscreen artwork, could be as a computer File, like a image or so. Because I'll do the painting to match my car colors, I'm thinking like this, metallic black on all heatsink and anodized red on aluminium dissipators. The sillscreens I did not figure out yet, but i'll think in some colors to match, maybe a metallic silver on "25" an details and a solid (non reflective) color on "M".
Nice paintjob on your 44, did you make it by yourself?
What about Burr Brown M's upgrade?! Will sound better? Once M's sounds amazing...
So, once you make yous 44's silkscreening do you think you can produce a 25? If yes, can you help me with it? Thanks bro!

Ps.: I'll try WIMA capacitos, not Elna.

WIMA caps seem to be the phorum choice favourite.

There was some lengthy discussion regarding opamp upgrades recently as well. You may want to search to find it. There were mixed opinions on the topics so perhaps the best option for you is to read the thread and decide for yourself if you feel the upgrade is worth it.

Yeah, I've seen something about it on the "phorum".
I'll make a "restauration" on my M's and I'm thinking about these upgrades, not sure yet.
I'll have to change the rail and power supply capacitors, I'm not sure, but I think they are leaking.
I'll also try to get the silkscreening for my amps with PG's employees. I send an e-mail to them this week, but I'm almost sure that they don't have M's silkscreen anymore.

nah, they dont...I have tried that avenue... two or three times, still no success.

I know where some is, but nothing that will help with the M series stuff

What About some Subs?

Post by Marcotah »

Shi*...
So, if you think you can do this silkscreening, I'll wait for you bro...
Changing the subject : I'm Brazilian and Live here in Brazil, due to our difficult to have acess to american audio products (the price here is very, very high, something about 2 or 3 times that it costs there) I'll ask my Brother to bring one subwoofer for me on August, when he travel to USA.
I was wondering about something that costs less than 200,00 USD.

- Image Dynamics IDQ10
- Phoenix Gold Ti10
- MMATS P3.0 10
- Elemental Designs "11Ov2" or 2 x "SQ10"
- Sound Splinter RL-i 10D4
- Critcal Mass SS102
- Resonant Engineering SE10
- JL Audio 10w6v2
- Any Other on this price budget. (Incriminator, Mach 5, SSA, etc)

And the amp that will push is a PG Xenon 600.1.

the rsdc is easily my choice. i really can't imagine how a sub could possibly sound any better.

Ok, I'm really curious about this woofer, great prices, great power handling, great look...
If you had to give a graduation:
- What about it compared to W6V2?
- What about its bass extension.
- What about sound clarity?
- What about transient responses, its a fast sub or not?
- What abou the bass? Smooth?
Thanks Guys!
