Need help with RSD

Post by ZX450 »

I have an RSD1200.1 and two RSD 12's in seperate sealed boxes with each box coming in at 1.9 cubic feet. My question is whats the best setting for Frequency and Subsonic Filtering? Not caring about SPL or SQ whats the best overall settings to make them sound the best. i need to set the amp up so then i can fine tune it with my bass cube. thank you. Clay

Well, that's definitely plenty of power for those subs............

The best way is to use a DMM...............
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

use the sub sonic filter on your bass cube and leave the amp's one pegged on low.

those subs are made to play low, so right around 35hz is a good place to start filters are not "brick walls" so it will have a 18db roll off starting at 35hz per octave (which is 1/2 of that number so at 17.5hz it will be 18db quiter)

the frequency filter works the same way.

bass is non-directional below 60hz, so ideally you want that set as low as you can and still get the output you want. 80hz is usually where i start, and then work my way down slowly if necessary to make it blend with the front stage
