Hey Everybody.
I have 2 of these 8001 amps. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to wire them. I have a set of PBX xs-12d2 dvc 2ohm, and a set of orion 12 hcca dvc 2ohm. Do you guys think these amps will run at 1 ohm, if not should i wire i amp per sub , or wire both the subs to one amp. Finally, a total dumba$$ question. If i wire 2 subs to one of the amps will both the subs get 800 watts? (if ran at 2 ohm?) Thanks for all the help.

ok if i read it right u have 4 subs. if that is the case and you want to run all 4 subs this is what you do. first wire each coil in series + of 1 coil to - of other. then you wire the + of each sub to the the + of the amp and do the same thing with the -. this will make 2ohms for the amp when you have 2 subs. you can only make 1 ohm load if you use 1 or all 4 subs to a single amp. i dont think its a good idea to run all 4 of the same amp mainly because the are different kinds. and you will not get 800w to each sub you will get 400.

definitely do not run that amp at 1ohm...it will let smoke out...
and as awesome as it would be....it will split the 800watts between the subs.
as todd said. just pick one of your sets of subs and wire it for 2ohms.
