Incriminator audio warden Beast sub pix

Post by Mackenzie »

Well I am really debating on weather getting an 18 or 21 inch of this sub, or 2 lesser 15s. No denying this thing is a monster though.

specs

Warden Series Extreme SPL Subwoofers

Available in 12, 15, 18, and 21
Dual .7 and Dual 1.4 Standard or Other Custom Options Available
Black Cast Basket
3" 8 layer Flat Aluminum Voice Coil
Black Progressive Spiders with Woven Tinsels - Suspension Options Available
Non-pressed Kraft Fiber Reinforced Cone
Double Layer Foam Surround
130 Oz Neo Column Magnets with Black Finish
Interlocking Aluminum Spider Spacer Assemble
CILD - Center Interlocking Dustcap Design for Easy Field Recones
ADC - Air Driven Cooling - Six Column Vents for Max Motor Cooling
Silver Push Terminals
Wrap Around Rubber Gasket
2500 Watt RMS Rated

I get asked all the time - Why is the Warden better?

The short of it is - I spend the last 5 years of my life working on this driver and I consider it by todays standards to be the end all be all of SPL drivers. This driver has a true top plate that will allow full transfer of flux from the neo magnets to the gap. Check out the site for the full story on that. This motor is so powerful we've build them with an overhead crane. Believe me or don't believe me - people will tell you I don't talk the talk unless I can walk the walk. The judge of the truth will be the SPL lanes!

Thanks,
Nick

Since you're always searching for the most insane bass ever, Mack, I think you should go for it.

Well obviously the 2500rms rating is a very very very conservative rating. As the death penaltys can handle that no problem( the line below the wardens). Its intended use is for spl, but you know just about all spl subs can make decent daily subs in the right box. About the power handling part, Ive got 5000+ watts on tap, and thats what I would be feeding it.

Doesn't look that big to me.....got anything other than a small CD to compare it to ?

Is the dust cap epoxied on there ? What is that ugly goo around the dust cap ?

What is the XMAX on these subs ?

Is this a new company ?

Not a big fan of 2" surrounds though, it makes them look ugly, IMO

How much power could they handle realistically ? Before pieces start flying off, or do the voice coils give out before that can happen ?
More info please

Thank You

These arent my pictures, so I cant compare it to anything else.. The company is not new, you can visit their website www.incriminatoraudio.com

Anyways when I looked at the pictures on the website, the sub did not have that glue around the dustcap, so maybe the one pictured above was a test sub or whatever. Neo subs dont need to have huge motors, you do realize that neo magnets are much more stornger than your average magnet right? These subs probably have one of the strongest motors ever made on a sub period.

As for the specs, take a look through the website, I dont think the are going to give you many specs though. I wouldnt be afraid to throw my 5k to this beast.

Maybe they demonstrated it's full potential and it needed a recone after ?

Yea, pretty sure every speaker I own has a neo magnet

I will have to take a look at this company, might need to grab one or two for a friend.

Thanks

Yes but do you have a 130 Oz Neo Column Magnets with Black Finish?

Also maybe the dust cap somehow came off, and it got re glued. Or maybe they put that much on from the factory. Not quite sure.. Either way, I want one.. I think Im going to grab the 21 inch..

I talk to Nick (owner of IA) on a regular basis, (SSA is an IA dealer), and he told me about this driver. Supposed to be flat out insane, basicly goes up against the DDZ but for much less money. We have gotten plenty of emails about the Warden, but I think a few people are waiting to see the numbers. :)
