Recomendations!!!!

Post by ChaosWarlord26 »

I am looking into buy 2 new 15's.

Requirements:
Dual 4 ohm coils
min of 750watts rms per sub
needs to work in a 3 cube ported box or less
Max mounting depth of 9.5"

Max price is $230.00 per sub shipped

I have already looked into Kickers and all the other main name brands but I am looking to be different in the SPL circuit. I dont want to be - Oh hey it's another kicker/rockford install.....

I am currently running 3 SoundStream PW-15s subs in a 6 Cube box ported and tuned to 35 hertz.....hitting a 148. They are powered by a SoundStream PCX-1500d. Here are a few pics I took during my intial build. Before I was a member here on the forum.

If you look hard/long enough you can find some TREO SSi (SSi15.44) on ebay for right around that. They take 750 rms,. but I've seen many off of 1000 rms daily. http://cgi.ebay.com/SUBWOOFER-BOX-Treo- ... 286.c0.m14
Though this is the dual 2 ohm version- SSi15.22

Or you can say screw it all and go w/just this one 15" in a 6 cf box. http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-NEW-15-SSX-tr ... 286.c0.m14
I assume you'd need a dual 2 for a single. It seems as if you're after a 4 or 1 ohm final load, yes? He doesn't state if it's the SSX15.22 or SSX15.44

BTW, where at in KY are you located? I have family that lives in Somerset and Monticello. I can see the "hills" in the background. I miss visiting there. Grandma just died 2 months ago, so I was just there.

I live in the northern part 10 min from the KY Speedway, 45 min south of Cincinnati, OH. I am looking for a final load of 1 ohm so I can get my 1500rms out of my amp.....

Does anyone know anythign about these? They look well made. It's just that I have been out of the Competition circuit for 7 years now and I am trying to make a comeback in SPL.....But I like my music quality as well.....

How about some SSA's??

Slightly over your budget, but from all reports you'd be more than happy both with SPL and musicallity

pm mw3 on the board. hes one of the bigwigs over at exile audio, and a big advocate of spl.

oooh, it might only be a duel 2 driver

its worth a pm anyway. he might even have some pre production samples

dude...exile big 15 or ever jump up to the 18in model...I am running an x2400.1 now and it rails...hard...I spoke to Morgan and the baskets are built my the same company that builds the assembly and motor for memphis and are very similiar to the mojo in design....not too expensive and I would expect way more performance then the ss that you are running now.

There subs are all d2's though
