^Thanks!

Update:

I decided to not use the ADS amps afterall.

Right now, Im planing on purchasing a Tantrum 4 channel to use along side my Tantrum 600.4. There are several on ebay right now, we'll see.

If anyone here that has a T600.4 or 400.4 for sale for a reasonable price LMK.

Note that I still have to build the fuse/dblock/relay panels on either sides of the rack.

I have 2 new amps to replace these ADS amps. I hope they fit the rack w/o any modifications

Thanks, as far as i know, IASCA does not have any more power classes for SQ, only SPL folks.

By the time this car is ready to compete I might have to jump into the amateur class. Most of the guys/gals I know compete in rookie now (with me), but I think they are all jumping up a class.

Im going to compete in 2 classes.

SQi - rookie or amateur (compete against people in your class), these classes include install judging

SQc - all classes mixed up together for overall SQ, but does not include install judging.

Update:

I decided to work on the HU for a change.

Image

Image

The bolts that attached the pocket to the bracket (sorry forgot to take pics).

Image

Note that oval shaped hole on the pocket. That sits directly under the venting holes for the Clarion radio for additional cooling.

I decided to use some non-skid paint for the inside of the pocket and painted the whole thing with satin black.

Image

Before....

Image

I forgot to take an after pic for comparison, but you can kind of see it in the picture above of the pocket with the vent

Image

Thats it for now, I wish I can install it now, but w/o any amps and speakers I don't want to drive around with out music.

I love the deck! I have always liked knobs(be nice guys) over buttons. Is that a newer deck??? I know I need to learn who is making good Hu's these days. I am so stuck in the early 90's.

Vin...you are doing a hell of a job....I really love the old ads plates!!!! Top notch work...I am very very impressed.

That is one of my favorite head units to date....that are really nice. I've really got to ditch the kenwood and get a real head unit!!! I am jealous!!!!!

I have no problems.

Looks good. I'm going to go out and see if they have some of that non-skid paint in Gray.

Update:

Speakers:

SEAS W18NX, Fountek FR88EX, Peerless 830986 (debating between the peerless and fountek), Scan Speak Illuminator D3004/602000

I was drenched in fiberglass all weekend so I didn't take many pics. You guys usually prefer completed pics anyways :D

I decided to save the factory kick panels and make make them from scratch (much more solid IMO).

I cut in the metal behind the kickpanels so the speakers and vent into the rails.

Love it Vin! Awesome work. Me and Bogart started on my Bronco... need a new alternator to actual turn up the 1200.1. I need to do my doors as well, getting great ideas from this! Keep it up!
