She interviewed for it almost a month back and they finally made a decision. I guess it came down to her and another chick, and the wifey got it!! HELLS YEAH!!!

Well duh!!! That and I get to go out to dinner. Not to mention the pay raise! Now I can finally afford all of those toys I have been going without!!

I was gonna ask what kind of promotion this was? Was it a promotion in pay or just in responsabilities? I have got promotions that I didn't want.

Sounds like good news though, congrats!

Yeah, they haven't talked money yet, but it will be a big raise. Something like $10k per year!

Yeah, I've seen people take "promotions" that basically end up being additional responsibility for nothing in return. That's bunk.

Yeah, I don't think it will be a problem here. It's a fairly new company and they seem to be doing things the right way, so far. They are talking about a "career path" with her as well. I guess that is why she got the promotion instead of the other girl, they can see her doing better in the long run. It's kinda cool, I'm excited right now.
