Question on the old Zeropoint power/ground and speaker wire

Post by rscecil007 »

Just how rare is this stuff these days?

Just wondering to even bother looking for my install. I'd probably need roughly:

20 ft 1/0g power
5 ft of 1/0g ground
10-15 ft each of 4g power
10-15 ft each of 4g ground
100 ft of the speaker wire

I haven't seen any of this stuff for sale lately, and haven't even seen the twisted speaker cable in person.

I'm guessing this stuff will cost a damn mint if a person could even find it. I'll probably just get all my cabling from knukonceptz, but thought I'd inquire about this, you know, for sh!ts and giggles.

Well, I know somewhere between Idaho and Norway is a box with 40' or so of the blue/silver ZP speaker wire! Damned USPS!!!! :)

I also used to have some of the green jacket ZP stuff as well. Long gone now. :(

The cable in this thread is what I'm talking about, the silver and purple stuff...

I used to have some 1/0g silver, but of course I was stupid and left it in my Jeep when I sold it, no realizing how hard it was to find anymore.

its not imposable...but very hard. i haven't seen more then a few feet at a time of that speaker wire go though here in years.

i would go with knu cable personally...in fact....i DO!

the new kollosus flex....sad to say...is better then the old pg wire. its the same as PG's new high end cable

Yeah, that was my plan initially anyway, getting plenty of the flex stuff and some of the twisted speaker wire they have.

I just got all nostalgic the other day when I found a small foot long piece of the old PG stuff in my tool box.

I've got some scraps of the old silver and purple, but last year when I redid my install I couldn't find any. I don't know if it'll help but let me know exactly what you'll need and I'll see what I've got.
