New to PG just bought a M44. Have a few ?'s

Post by vwguy3 »

I have always loved PG amps and always wanted them when I was younger and could not afford them. Now I'm older and got a deal on CL for a M44 for 50 bucks. It is in pretty good shape and the top cover is at least an 8/10. The silk screen is and little scratched up and was wondering what it would cost to maybe get it redone.(est) I do plan on doing the caps, even though they do look fine and not leaking at all. The other issue I have with the amp is when I took it apart one of the mounting tabs for the speaker termials was broke off. they look kind of banged up and was wondering where I can get some new ones for the speaker termials and the power termial. I will try and post a pic of the amp I got too.

Thanks

you mean something like this??? BUT with silk screening?

if you are patient, i know where it might/could be done...(hehe), but there are a lot of folks ahead of you...

working on outlaw, m44/m100, all of joergs stuff, bogarts stuff, and a few other stragglers in the mix too ahead of you.... AND just waiting for silk screen frames to get made up, but it will not be of OEM artwork... it will look similar to what you see on that thread there (but without the double shadow)

in lieu of that, or outside of that, i think you will find it will be very expensive to have powder coated as a single piece, or whatever, and frames made up for a one time shot, etc... but i am looking at doing a number of other gear for others... but what color would you like???

Have a look through here these links and see if there is acolor that turns you on...?

one of my vendors and the colors they have

AND ANOTHER ...

Standard Powder Coatings

metalics and candy top coats

be sure to click all the various links to see all available....

No, nothing like that. I did take a look at that build. I'm more of an origialist. I like that way it is down to even the made in the usa. I took screen printing in high school and don't see why some many people are having a hard time getting someone to do it.
