ok...are the stock rail caps on the ta's supposed to be 85degree components? I know they are 105degree on the os amps....I looked at the manual and can't tell anything but the caps look bigger in them then are in these amps. Thanks.....
PG used 85 degree for railcaps in their TA amps; so I have used them as well when recapping.
Now with the help of Randy, I got 105 degree ones, and will stick to those. [longer lifespan]
all of the 85 degree caps on these are fucked up...they work but they suffer from thermal damage...swelling and such...the 2125s arn't so bad but the 2250's are warped to all shit. And the signal caps they used are just tiny....
I can't seem to leave any amps alone these days....
I want that sexy mps 2500....we really ought to figure some sort of deal out on that....it would look quite nice....little preveiw of the ta 2250 here in a few...pics coming
PG put in the tiny caps in the TA's towards the later part of production on their TA's, as I was informed by eric... so the TA's w/ smaller caps are lil newer... AT least that is/was my understanding... or are/were you asking something else??

no...I was wondering about the 85 degree component thing. the dinky signal caps are already off the boards...I had those in stock here. I am not sure why pg went with 85 degree parts...they had to know they wern't going to whether the heat on the big ms amps even if they are regulated...
having some fun with these now....benched the 2125 last night and she sounds great.....
