I am desperately in need of a schematic for a ZX450

Post by gfunk_nz »

As per title, the 450 that I will be running my Havocs off has one channel distorting to buggery, I took it in for repair and they are battling to track down the problem. They have asked if I can find a schematic so they can troubleshoot it a lot faster.

Can anyone help me out?

Does the amp draw excessive current, or is it just distorting badly on the one channel?

just purely distorting on one channel and it's only under load, without load it's normal

What are you using for a load? Is it at high volume or low volume?

I was just using a speaker I'm not sure what the repairer is using. It was doing it at all levels.

There are some low value resistors which drive the main output transistors. I think they are 2.2ohm. They are designed to blow like a fuse if the output transistor is shorted. One of these may have blown which will result in a very distorted output.
