This work stuf is going to kill me!!
How do you guys do it?? Last week I worked 46 hours (including a paid holiday Monday) and this is my only day off this weekend. Tomorrow I have to go in and do physical labor, then he rest of the week will be inspecting. I'm expecting to put in 55 hours or so next week. MY ASS IS TIRED!!!

I work about 40 hours a week but it's 75% sitting in my office and 25% running around the hospital or moving heavy gear in and out of the server room. No hard labor.
My brain gets tired though. Sometimes I spend a lot of time researching and learning and trying out new things and feel like I got nowhere and that the day was wasted but I'm still mentally drained afterwards.
I've always found the idea of having a labor job to be strangely endearing, probably because I've never really had one. When I was moving out to Vancouver and didn't have this job lined up yet, I was seriously considering going into something totally different and being a grunt for a while. I dunno how that would have worked out...

The first two weeks were a little tough because of the physical labor, but last week wasn't too bad. Today I am going back to help out with the physical labor, but hopefully it won't be for too long.
As soon as I get the system down for inspecting this job will be pretty easy. It's just trying to lean the system that is going to be a little difficult, but it will come in time. Then I can show them how it's done!

I worked 56 to 60 hours a week the last 5 years when i was travelling the world, so 55 for a short period of time shouldn´t be that bad!

As far as factory work goes, I went from having a job I actually liked until they fired me and I feel that I had it made there too, to no job at all for 5 months to a job I just started last week working harder there in 4 hours then I worked in a 10 hr shift at my last job, and to top that off, they're working mandatory 47.5 hrs one week and 55.5 hrs the other, every other week.
So from easy to nothing to hardest I've ever worked.
