I started working on FAS #63 and wanted to replace all the capacitors. While taking the boards out i discoverd an issue with the MS2125 side of it. It looks like that C116 is missing or blown away Further i discovered that one of the big capacitors is loose , but that´s not a big problem as i´m going to replace them anyways. Any clue why C116 could be blown???
dont know why its blown but looks like the remains of a capacitor to me

I am guessing it was physically damaged, not necessarily electrically damaged.
Since MS amps are not really put together all that well (any amp with loose wires in it is asking for problems), people tend to probe around in them with screwdrivers, pliers, or worse. Often they break something which was never an issue in the first place.
but I worked on an Alpine MRV-1507 that had a small cap in the preamp section that blew it's can off just like that one. cellulose everywhere. amazingly enough no damage to the board...
This was not physically damaged, other small caps around it were ready to go as well (tops bulging out).
A few of the preamp ICs were burned up, and some diodes were blown. Rebuilt the preamp section and all was well.
