Not sure what's going on with the sub there... it either looks like
a) zigzagged surround for ultra high excursion
b) whizzer cone

I though they stopped putting whizzers on speakers when a 4x10 was a popular size.

Indeed.

When I first saw it, I though "hehehe, whizzer cone!" but I didn't really think that this sub had a whizzer cone, it just looked like a hilarious possibility.

Now... what if the woofer really does have a whizzer cone?!?

I see the same gasket and surround, just a little bend where none was previously, this allows the surround to rear mount from what I can see. The rear mount and the crease at the edge helps reduce material created sound artifacts. In the end reducing some distortion causing elements.

But the tweet, I see it is missing the felt damper. This IMHO creates a brighter less natural response. It is very slim though.

The tweeter does have a damper, its not easy to see due to my lack of camera skills.

I wanna see speakers. I hope they don't have anything that can compare to the rsdc65 components. They are awesome. And can handle 125rms... people are amazed at the sound of it. So if they DO come out with something crazy good I will be surprised. Something with cool crossovers like the Ti.
