I like it. I wouldn't say no, but I think they screwed up. You DON'T ..... EVER ..... and I mean f'n NEVER make a mustang more powerful in factory trim than the GT (as in Ford GT "supercar").

Other than that I think it's about friggin' time they made a Mustang with some balls.

Outstanding World Classride. Period. Expensive beyond my pockets.

A blown 5.4 is the same core as the Ford Lightning truck. Tweaked for the smaller lighter, Mustang, but a proven engine/induction system combo. Rude horsepower. Will eat an M5 and looks 314% better doing it.

Just my opinion. I love the style. Nostalgic. I'm old, remember?

I'm tired of seeing a BMW on every`corner. They're now so popular, they're boring. A 745, an 850 or any M Series still raises my pulse though.....

There's a GT40 in the showroom at the Ford dealership across from my hotel here. Brand new. I'll go snap some photos of it in the morning when they're open. Shall we run a pool on how much to get it out the door? I'll start with $135K USD.

No, not yours. I feel torwards the Mustang as Hosehead feels about Beemers. Nothing wrong w/them, just to many of them. I feel the same way about the Camaro and I'm a GM man. As for how much to get the GT40 out the door, I'm going to say $155k, as that's how much our local dealer said he'd let his go for. Mike Raisor Ford got one GT in and he bought it and the 155 mark he said he'd consider letting it go. Thaty's more than what my house is worth.

The dealer I work for has sold 3 of them, the first for 220k, the second for 160k, and the third for 130k.

I seen one (GT40) at a local dealership. It was in a air proof "bubble". Thought that was kind of odd. Another local dealer personally owns one, drives it all over town.

The third one we sold got destroyed like 3 days after the guy bought it. Turned it sideways on a bridge and knocked the front end clean off of it.

All that article showed was that the GT takes it up the ass royally compared to the Z06. Sure it performs better, but is the price difference worth it? If you pumped that much money into a Z06 you would have one hell of a GT eater.

I guess the GT is more of a collectors car than a drivers car though...

Speaking of tuning Corvettes... can you say 800HP?

http://www.lingenfelter.com/Lingenfelte ... rvette.htm

That shit would annihilate a GT, no question.

Assuming $70k or so for the Z06 + $46k for the upgrades... you're at $116k, still around $50,000 less than the test car GT in that article.

Well if we're going to get into tuning pissing match between Ford and Chevy, there's the Livernois supercharged Mustang GT that also puts out 800hp for $70k.

I went to the Livernois website and they don't seem to list any complete cars... is that $70k for the whole thing or just for the addon parts (and possibly labor of installing them)?

z06 is by far my favorite car. If i could buy any sports car in the world that would be it, best bang for the buck hands down. Add the lingenfelter upgrades will rape almost everything.

Has any one ever seen the racing video of when the z06 lingenfelter races a done up BMW M3 w/ some famous mod, like the lingenfelter is to the vette, but I forget the name wanna say like dsm or dms. Funniest thing ever, sitting a stop light m3 revs his engine (the m3 passanger is video taping) they lauging knowing this done up m3 will rape a z06. Then the guy in the vette sits there for a few minutes revs his engine. and the guys in the m3 just say shit. Vette fucking kills their m3...

there's also another video of a lingenfelter vette racing a haybusa (not sure how to spell it) bike, and the vette beats it lol.
