Olympic spirit ????????

I was just watching the news and there was a big Cocaine and Extacsy bust in Vancouver B.C, and most of the tabs of E had the Olympic rings stamped on them, the police stated that this is not the Olympic spirit the Olympic Committee wants to portray

It's Hong-Couver for fuck sakes.... What did they expect..... It was probly on it's way to the US anyhow.

Could you imagine a monster snow-rave on the mountain........ Thad be badass.

JK, they were saying that they caught it just before it went international, the States, Japan and elsewhere. Im no E Tard but I got a good chuckle when I seen that stamp.

Ha... if they stamped it with anything else the cops would have let it slide probably. The VPD, border patrol and even the local RCMP have been super touchy about anything Olympics related. Either way the rings would have made it super easy to trace back here so it was a dumb call, might as well stamp their address on the pill.

Like it or not, the Olympics bring all kinds of people and exposure to the city both good and bad.

I wonder when they plan on sweeping all the homeless people on Hastings under the rug? They've already repaved a ton of that street and are trying to rebuild pigeon park (neither of which I disagree with) but I have a gut feeling that the police are going to be instructed to go into crack down mode in February and start hauling the "undesirables" out of view.

Apparently they've been busing them out to Chilliwack already. Funny because I know Alberta gave free one-way bus tickets to Vancouver for all its homeless as well. Hahaha... make it someone else's problem. Gotta love it.

i remember when Olympics were in Beijing... and we (wifey and I) were out in Beijing visiting her parents ... and the police were rigidly doing just that- scooping up the undesirables and loading them onto buses...
it was a real reality check with me, because not 5/6 blocks from her moms house there were people with tents on the street that were the workers on the street and they lived in those tents, and would defecate on the shoulder of the sidewalk... and it was just a mess... couldn't believe it/what i saw...
also every road was being lifted up and redone sidewalks to roads, grass seed planting- the whole routine... .. - a real bru-ha ha
