new truck means new install

some of you know I am in the hospital but just before I came in I had bought a 2006 GMC ext cab canyon 4x4 so I have been acquiring new gear to put in it. So far I have purchased a set of RSD 6.5 components for the front doors RSD 6.5 2ways for the rear doors (first rear fill I've ever used). A 12" RSDC 124 sub and a roadster66 LE amp. I will begin installing it all as soon as I get home. I also have a PLD1 I in my summer truck I might also use. Any thoughts on this setup.

Have fun installing it. The one I did was a nightmare trying to run the speaker wires through the molex plug in the front doors and ha also wanted to keep it looking stealth.

Thanks for the pics Have any more of it completed? Running the wires is the last of my worries I have pretty good tools and skill in that way, making that big amp and a 12" sub fit in there while still making it a semi useable area if needed are my biggest concerns. I am used to driving vans and other vehicles that you can't see out the back windows so I was thinking about mounting the amp covering the window somehow without ruining my panels with holes. That would keep most of the floor area clear except for the enclosure which I might do a fiberglass box to use as much unuseable space as possible if I need to. I am not to concerned about stealth as it will have a good 2 way alarm installed properly and I always park in a secure garage that has a security system and don't really go anywhere for long times that would give anyone an opportunity to have time to steal it. Any thoughts on my ideas as far as install plans

You never leave your truck for more then 30 seconds???

Alarm or not, that's all it will take them.

It's good that you're take the precautions needed, that rarely ever hurts.

The guy whos truck that is lives 1 1/2 hours away from me and he did the carpeting and hooked everything up. He also ran most of the wiring. He sent me some finished pics, I just ?? where they're at.

He used an Alpine class-D amp for the 10" Image Dynamic sub. ?? the series of the sub. I can't for the life of me remember what the mids/highs amp was. Factory HU to an Audio Control LC8.

Not where I live the people that steal stereo's here are like 15 year olds that have no clue how to steal lol being sick I don't out much and never leave my truck at a bar or anywhere that would give someone an opportunity to break in without being caught fairly small town with not a big stereo theft ratio they target the easy stuff like unlocked vehicles and steal change from ashtrays.plus it will be all installed secure enough they won't just yank it out without using tools to undo panels and security bolts.
