Ampli for Stroker 15"D

Post by tridione »

Hi everyone!

I don't found notice about this my problem.

I have in my car MS275 tweeter, MS275 mid, MS2125 bass, and I search good ampli for my sub CerwinVega Stroker 15"D (2 voice coils - 4 ohm - max. tot. 1200 Watt RMS), in vented box of 4.60 Cubic Feet. I have loudspeakers is from italian company: RES.

Please, can you tell me the best solution? (MS2250, Ti1200, ZPA 0.5, or other?)

Thanks

I would use two MS2125´s for your Stroker 15D4.
The original MS2250 is pretty much useless as u will have to run the wired to 8Ohms unless u got the shroud for cooling it and run it 2Ohms (Not recommended). The MS2250TA can do 2Ohms mono and will give u arround 1100Watts.

I would use your MS2125 at 2 ohms bridged. At worst you would have to put a fan on the amp, but I think it would work fine without one. The MS2125 works a lot better at 2 ohms than the MS2250 does! You should expect about 750 watts of dynamic power out of it.

Thanks.

I asked precisely because I was not sure to use an MS2250 for Stroker 15D. The Stroker 15D requires a lot of power to sound good.
Instead of using 2 MS2125 at 4 ohms, if I use a ZPA 0.5, or Ti 1200?

With the fan shroud the MS2250 TA edition can handle 2 ohms bridged nicely. The original MS2250 should only do 4 ohms bridged, even with fans.

Keep in mind the ZPA prefers 1 and 4 ohm loads. In order to play 2 ohm, you have to modify the circuit board!
