I just built the most useless machine ever

Post by Jacampb2 »

I saw this for the first time on another forum and decided to build one. There is an instructable out there w/ complete instructions, just google useless machine instructable.

I started a few days ago and I just finished mine. The arm is acrylic, and engraved and lights up in low light, I didn't count on the sucker being so fast, you can't read the message in the time it takes the arm to come out and retract. Anyhow, had to modify the control circuit a bit, my arm design meant I needed nearly the entire 90° rotation of the servo, and the instructable circuit only drives it through 45° if motion.

Anyhow, I'm going to try to embed the video, if that doesn't work I'll post a link.

Clicky, why can't I embed FB video? Can we enable the flash tags :D

Later,
Jason
