Hi All,
I have just acquired a zpa via an auction site here in NZ and before buying noticed some holes drilled in the plexi. I asked about this and didnt receive a reply until tonight. The owner tells me that he has to "play with everything" and below the holes are the gain's and frequency dial's.
What worries me is that he has mucked with them and they will pack up or not work properly.
My question is.. realistically what could go wrong with these being adjusted? Should I just send it back and get a refund?
Cheers for your help
ZPA 0.5 Question
Not much can be mucked with or played with and break , cannot see why he would need to constantly change gains or x-overs , but hey each to their own, the worst is that the amp was clipping quite a bit , this would cause more issues to the speakers then the amp.
Problem on those ZPA's is they do not like strands of wire dropped onto the boards, so the holes might pose a problem if they have stray wires around, Other then that I would not worry too much .

right, and all u have to do is put the screw in it that grounds it so the amp turns on with the plexi off... tune it over a few days, then put the plexi on it and its done. lol some people crack me up, theres no need to adjust it unless its being put into a different system.todd217 wrote:let alone the fact if your to lazy to remove the 4 screws to adj it you dont deserve a zpa.

Oh god I hope not! I have a 3day right of return so thankfully (a mate owns a car audio shop) I am having it delivered to a service repair company to check it out. Hopefully they can set back to factory settings if nothing has been broken or too far out of whack!ttocs wrote:na, it would be much much easier to drill a hole in it. Does anyone want to make a bet if he bothered to remove the plexi, or just drilled it while it was mounted to the amp? My $50 says if you take the plastic off you will find the remains of the drilling inside..........
