I'm biased towards the old CV Strokers. Nothing afterwards
The new stuff would probably get loud no doubt, however the old Strokers could be used for SQ and SPL. Heard these in 15" form in Angelo Kanci's BMW and powered off SS Reference amps with AP membranes in the enclosure... UN-BE-LIEVABLE!!!
Accept NO substitutes :p

I once ran against a guy in a similar car to mine. He had his 15" Stroker Pro and claimed 3000 watts (from what amp I don't know). He only managed high 140's. I was using my DD 3515 with 2 M1a's strapped pushing 2786wrms (clamped/metered) and got mid 150's.
New Stroker Pro's are crap.
I also beat an 18" SoloBaric that was in like 7 cubes in a Montero with something around 4-5k wrms (claimed). He barely made 145. I think people need help with installs, but maybe it's just the product sucks that bad?

The Stroker Pros certainly aren't about SQ, that's for damn sure.KUB3 wrote:It's not all about SPL though is it.
-EDIT-
A note that I thought was rather funny is that my DD 3515 is actually built more for SQ than SPL, yet look how it does on the mic compared to purpose-built SPL subs.
In my opinion, the new Stroker Pro's are crap; get Digital Designs for a similar price and be WAY happier!Pedi wrote:I hardly believe they are crap, I guess that most problems lie within owner/builder. Install vs install may vary lots of db, even though all components are the same...
Old Strokers? I'd kill for them.
