My faithful HU (Eclipse CD8455) is starting to act up when taking in CD's. It displays INFO 3 on the screen and ejects the CD. I could not hear the motor spinning as I usually can when it takes a disc. I MIGHT be in the market for a new HU.
SQ first, must have
AUX in
Able to do 3-way active
TA
NO Kenwoods sorry.
Brands I like, Clarion, Eclipse (though they're done w/car audio now), Some Pioneers and Alpines. I've never owned anything other then a Clarion or Eclipse HU. I had a Pioneer in my wifes car, it was OK.
Price????? Let's keep it down to Earth. It'll be a bit still before I can afford one. I will have to sacrifice the new Ti600.4 for a new HU when my G-ma's $$ comes in, it will solely depend on how much I get as to if I can still get the 600.4

i have a alpine 9815 , bought it new , used it in my mustang , and in the lightning ( while I was waiting on the new headunit from Ford ) other than that it has sat in the box lol .....
One of the local audio shops , just sold the last eclipse 8455 they had 2 weeks ago .......
Our Rides : 2008 Ford EdGe Limited , Blazin Copper 2004 Ford SVT Lightning , Dark Shadow Grey 5.4L Eaton Supercharged . Powered By Memphis . 2003 Dodge Ram - Stock Stereo , Added Memphis sub and Amp 1997 Dodge Ram - Kenwood / Soundstream / Eclipse / Memphis / Rockford Fosgate / PG
Thanks all. As I said, it'll be a bit. I haven't the foggiest idea when the $$ will get here.
I would love to have the Clarion 9255, it IS my fav HU after and only after the Clarion ?ADCS-1? It's an oldie (1995ish) but my fav ever.
There's 2 7200's on ebay right now.
My wife wants me to get the 8455 fixed, as do I. My next HU they don't make yet. lol. I want an in-dash monitor w/an decent eq, 4v+ output, a flexible xover, and the option to do 3-way, all in the same chassis.
I can get that now, but I'd need two pieces and I only want 1.
