yeah thats worthless stuff-
send it here and i will dispose of properly
it takes a certain protocol with gear i have at shop for that to be disposed of according to mfg spec's

So what's the deal with this wire then, why is it so good? I know the twisted gold/blue stuff that was in some of the old MS amps was good, is this the same, better, or what?

Probably going to end up using this, but what would this be worth?

it is neat to look at but it will not float neither in mid air nor on water. We all like pg wire since it is soon to be a relic and get a little to excited about it. It is not cryogencally frozen or anything special, just has pg written on it with itty bitty letters......

I actually used some wire that looks amazing similar in the install in my truck but it was made by schosche or at least had their name on it. Willing to bet you put all of these together they might be the exact same thing. Wire manf will make the same wire for different companies and print anyones name on it if they pay the right price.

It's pretty, and it's PG. Back then almost nobody had twisted wire like that.

I got the Knu 10 gauge for the same reason... looks!

You have any tips for trimming back that outer sheath? I ordered the twisted knu stuff also, and hated it. No matter how careful I was with it, I always managed to slice into the speaker wires when trimmed the outer sheath back.

I finally started just barely cutting into the outer sheath and twisting it like hell until it broke loose. Biggest pain in the ass in my whole install.

Maybe I just suck.

I cut it from the top down along the wire. Once you get a good cut going it pulls apart relatively easy. Once I get the length I need, I carefully finish it off with an exacto. Definitely a pain in the ass but you only have to do it a few times, and it's worth it for the aesthetic appeal.

Ah, that's a good method. That's what I'll use if I use this PG wire I found here. Thanks man.

I liked it because it came with conduit already wrapped around the wire itself. I didn't need to use any tubing to protect it when I ran it on the floor through my Mustang.

I bought it for $0.50 a foot at the local Car Toys on a closeout sale. Dood gave me an extra 15 ft. too, but that was a few years back.

errin has a special tool for it that is a tube that goes over the wire, you squeeze and a blade just long enough to pierce the outer sheath pops down, it goes through a channel that rotates around the whole wire, then spins the blade sideways and you pull and it strips the wire the whole length.

i have no idea what its called or where to get it though lol!

on a more common note...i hear these work but i havnt got around to picking one up yet
