Kenwood Navigation - Need Help Fast!!!

So I got the Kenwood ddx-8017 a few months ago, thing works like a champ, I love it. I decided I wanted navi, so I got the kna-g510 module to go with it. wired it up (checked all the connections) and plugged it in, it's only 4 wires and a cd-changer looking cable, simple enough, but the HU operates no differently and it won't recognize the navi. the instruction manual is garbage, does anyone here have any experience with these units? I really appreciate any input anyone has!! I really wanted to have it up and running before my trip tomorrow!!

instruction manual is garbage? seems pretty helpful to me, lots of info on setting it up for navigation.

Check page 74, did you set navigation system connection to RGB?

Just Ctrl+F for navigation and you'll find lots of info.

got it workin! It was on page 75 or something, you have to turn the navi selection on, in a menu that's a convoluted process to access. stoopid me. thanks man!!!
