I am thinking after I get the cap replacement of running this instead of the new MB Quart Discus 1500.1d.
Anyone have any bench numbers of how much the 2500 puts out at 1ohm bridged?
Also would the amplifier with ample cooling of course be able to handle 1 ohm daily?
Thanks!
MPS 2500 1 ohm stability.

The MPS line was made to handle lower impedance loads. It should put out around the same wattage as the MS2125.

All to familar with that site
And yes I know this but..... I would like to hear first hand user feedback on running it at 1ohm.
So the RMS wattage would be around 740ish at 1ohm? The birth sheet I have for mine is 523rms at 2ohm.
Thanks!
didn't think pg had birth sheets with actual wattage figures, that's interestingShinju wrote:All to familar with that site

Both my 2125 and the 2500 have them.
I would snap a photo but the print is so old its almost faded out, I can try I guess need to find my recharger first.
After looking at it and I mean squinting its hard to see it looks like the MPS 2500 is a THD vs Output power test grid with both channels ran at 4ohm with a 22khz low pass filter. Dated 22nd of March 1994 at 13:33:77.
Unfortunatly I sold the 2125 but I could have sworn that the 2125 showed RMS power and THD the 2500 is just THD vs Output power ect.
So my memory was of the 2124 sheet but I am sure they are very close in wattage 2 vs 4 ohm ect.
So many damn amplifiers lol cannot remember them all!

It was a graph type structure with wattage on the bottom and some other numbers on the side with a line slope going from 1w up to and just a tad over 520 end of the graph was 550.
and a couple of other lines for stereo mode.
I'll see if I cannot scan the one in that I have so you can see it and get the idea of it if you like.
