I tried the hair dryer and didn't work so well so i stopped before I ruined it completely. I just want to hold onto this one and the other one on the other cap. These are surely hard to find if not impossible so i might as well try. I have been holding onto these caps for over a year thinking I may be able to get the sticker off one way or the other. let me know what sorta idea's you have. If I fail I fail there goin in the trash soon enough anyway.

No longer really "in tune" with the audio industry, and probably have not been for some time.

good idea SolacE, and maybe add a little heat with the hair dryer, just a thought. I knew a guy who refused to pay for car insurance, and what he would do is "borrow" someone else's sticker and plate and he would heat the plate in the oven and use a fillet knife and ....voila hes got a "valid" sticker for his vehicle. I think a little heat and SolaceS fishing line idea should do the trick.
If you are throwing the cap out, you should cut the wrapping off of it, then cut out around the sticker. It won't be sticky anymore but you won't damage it that way.
I was about to suggest the same thing. The shrinkwrap that is around it is easy to remove but otherwise I do not see you getting that off in any kind of usable form.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
