hmm really a forth order bandpass.
that box will be a bitch to build...i modled one at 1.5 rear chamber sealed and front at 2.5 ported and tuned to 35hz...
it looked kinda bttom heavy around 23hz to about 38hz..
ports gonna be big and i want to build it but if u do it first then let me know how it goes...

Why would you go for a bandpass enclosure..?
This sub needs to BREATH.
Besides a bandpass never gives the high output you probably want after buying a monster sub like this....
Go for a proper [over] build sealed enclosure, and power it properly.
That is what it is designed for, a ported enclosure gives more output but will restrict the amount of sub-bass it can handle, bandpass will cause the sub to choke inside the enclosure.
A sealed enclosure also is easy to build, not as critical on dimensions as the other enclosures, plus you can throw any kind of music to it and it will sound tight and play lowww.
Good luck.

To start with, maybe you should consider getting better amps, like maybe a PG Xenon X1200.1 or X600.1.
If you got some real power, then chances are you would not need to go bandpass to get the output you want.
peace

No longer really "in tune" with the audio industry, and probably have not been for some time.
Hands down the forum's most ignorant member...
Don't even know what Ohm's law is...

I know I know but the thing he said about your mother were funny...just kiddingttocs wrote:man there is no way I will repeat what he said about you, it was just too cruel to repeat.............
If I didn't love pg the way I do what he said about buying items that work is not that bad. the 8gauge thing was kind funny. Not saying I like or dis like the guy. But he should have thought a little more before playing with the big boys. I can't wait to sell all my focal and pg items and go buy some thump amps or sherwood gear
just kidding I am starting my install tonight Joerg so you don't have to worry about me wanting to sell my gear.. but i do have a extra fp800.1
can you find me another 38spl?

How's all the wannabe's doing. Thank you brenzbmr@sb for responding to my request for some information on the Phoenix Gold Elite 12 d. I'll send you some pics of my new box. Any other replies from those who don't have this equipment please don't reply. Sorry my 1300 RMS watts Rockford Fosgate T-1500 bd amps on each sub at 1.8 ohms isn't enough and I should buy something with less power to move these subs, ok, this is just stupid. Don't bother me with your little kid replies and quit dogging other peoples equipment if you don't want yours dogged, and don't hate others for having a job and spending a little coin on there setups. I'm sure my image dynamics pieces are junk too along with my Audio Control or my O gauge wire or my 240 amp alternator, or my Stinger batteries and so on. By the way old school for me is the late 80's early 90's, so don't old school me with your amps from 2005.
