MS 2125 No power

Post by chris22 »

I have an old grey model ms 2125 that needs two diodes. The board location is d-323 & d-311 the diode is marked zm-in-5401-9147. If anyone knows a place to get these please let me know.

Thanks
Chris

Digikey is your friend :)

Should be something similar to that. I don't know for sure because I don't own the amp, someone else can verify, but should get you close. Digikey is a good company to get stuff from as well. Their search is very good too. I just ordered some fets from them yesterday as a matter of fact! Good luck!

Probably a good idea. From what I hear they are very helpful. Maybe in the mean time someone that has done this before will chime in with the specs that you need. Keep us posted with what you find!

Well last night I replaced the two diodes with TCI 1N 5401 and still no power to leds. I think it's the power caps all looks good what do you guys think.

Thanks

Did you ever test the diodes? If you had a bigger problem, you might have just blown them again and didn't realize it. I would test them and see if they are still good.

What is, or isn't, the amp doing? What was the condition of the amp when you got it/did you blow it? Knowing what you are working with will help with the diagnosis on your problem. Details please!

The diodes are new and tested this amp only had maybe four months of use when I boxed it up back in the 90s. My ms-275 still works but the ms-2125 when I powered it up no power lights or board lights come on. I took it apart and found two diodes melted so replace them and still no power light no board lights caps look good no leeks I can meter power down the rails to the coil to the fuse but lose it at the caps. It acts like there's no power on the remote wire but there is. [/quote]
