help setting up PG system

Post by karisma »

hey ive got my first system all wired up, but im sure it needs setting up, the headunit is all set up by a friend, e.g lpf set to 80hz etc etc,

my system
Alpine 9812rb
phoenix gold 8.0.1
phoenix gold 2.5.2
phoenix gold 12/12d x 2
phoenix gold bass cube
Fli Integrator 6 components
subs in a sealed double sub box( premade)

now im wanting my amps to be set up properly or better than they are at the moments, i know its hard without hearing the system but does any1 know any setup settings i can have the mono block on? i want good bass from my subs, any tips etc on what i should have the dials set at?

any help is appreciated

what subs are they? you listed 12/12d which could be many subs pG made as that refers to their impedance.

do you have an lpl knob?

ah, (lpl and basscube are different http://phoenixphorum.com/how-to-properl ... sscube+lpl)

so I'm assuming you have the 12d subs to go with the 2ohm load on the amp.

the lp crossover is really to your taste, 80 is fine for most people, people looking for a more SQ oriented system will turn it to about 50.

the most important setting is your gain.

here is a good write up for it: http://phoenixphorum.com/gain-setting-w ... vt280.html

the svc is the 12 and the dvc is the 12D. so you will be putting a 2ohm load on the amp, so you are good to go!
