Fan shroud for M series

Post by tonym »

I took a set of mine down to a place here local.
I can have them made exactly the same but need 20 sets to get the price down.

would anyone be intrested?
20 sets would cost around 200.00 a set and the shroud part would be 20.00

These would be in RAW form NO PAINT, NO POWEDER COAT

These can be made out of 18g metal or aluminium.....

After I tell him go it would be 2-3 weeks to make..

For that pricing I highly doubt it will have a PG logo in it, or even have countersinking where the mounting screws go.

They will be counter sunk

thats an 15$ bit that does that

As for the PG logo I would prolly run into some © infringmints or something...But That can be done(not from the ppl that will make them though) have to get the PG part waterjett'ed out..

I have him giving me a calling back I told him that I need these down to 150.00 a set

I'm confused.

What's the pricing? How many shrouds in a set? Does a "set" refer to each different type of shroud? Say a set of M100 shrouds, a set of M44 shrouds, etc. ?

OH!!! I thought you were talking about the metal shroud over the heatsink only, not *also* the fan units.

So to clarify: Set = Right side fan metal, left side fan metal and heatsink shroud?

so it is the sink shroud and fan housings??

Interesting-

I think having the PG carved out of the shroud not only has aesthetic qualities to it- BUT think/willing to bet there is functional aspects to it as well. i.e. air flow out
UNLESS it is one fan pulling and other pushing...?

Which even still- i think the extra air from the "hole" in center would contribute to more air flow- perhaps?

necessary? i dunno- Ideal? perhaps...

maybe just coated w/ artwork- BUT lets see first how i fare with the newly discovered artwork application/process.

OK-
I'm out for $220 per set............
I read it as "20 sets for $200 plus another $20 for the sink shroud". Not a bad price to have them fab'd but I think we could do better......

We need to talk to Jcamp........
