Linear Power 2.2HV and Audiocontrol 3xs

Hi everyone. I just repowered my frontstage today and had a few questions I wanted to run by you guys. The 3xs is filtering the frontstage. The module inside says 90hz... is this what I should be using? If I'm correct it will cut off anything below 90hz?? The problem I'm having is a lack of midbass. and these components are known for their midbass. The dorrs are deadened and closed up decent. The midbass are mounted to a 3/4" mdf ring. hmm. I'm friggin stumped. And another thing... I want to set the gain on the linear but I dont know what power rating to use. Ray at Linear told me it is producing around 185x2 at 4ohm stereo, 12.5v. Now on to my next issue... My front components are 3.6ohm... after installing my upstage system I cannot get an impedence reading... it jumps all over the place. wierdness! I listened and all of the speakers are playing... But when I check the wires before i hook them to the amp i get no reading. let me know what you guys think. please dont knock the install... a seat goes over everything.

speaker will ohms always change do to differnt tones. for mids or alot of mid bass I think some of the problem would be the xover at 90hz. the speaker being 3.6ohm is what most company rate a 4ohm speaker so this would not be the problem

Yeah 90 hz is alittle high. I never like crossing over higher than 60. Sometimes it is necessary but I dont think it is in your case. Try bypassing the unit you have and using the XO's on your amp. Im thinking you will find a nice sweet spot around 50 to 60. If you like it loud you should probably keep towards 60

Soundslike you're right on the same track I was. I went to Radio shack earlier and bought some resistors... I'm going to make a 60hz module. These things are dirt cheap to make so I'll experiment with 60 and 70hz. Thanks for the info.

Picked up the resistors and saved myself the soldering by trimming the resistors and literally plugging them into the female receptacle. As you can see in the pic this was very easy. 60hz is what the doctor ordered! I can feel the midbass in my chest now. Thanks for everything.
