I came here asking if 2 10" xenons would be good subs. I was probobly gonna run a hifonics amp and polk comp set
I now have a pretty damn good first system if I do say so myself:
TLD 66
LPL 44
x100.2
x600.1
RSD 6.5 comp set
RSD 12
100sqft RAAMMAT
and $270 worth of KnuKonceptz wiring
I love you guys
Now I just have to get it installed

Oh man that is a sick system.
And considering what you pay in the stores up here, you probably got it cheaper than your typical Xplod setup as well!

Shipped In CND I paid about $1450, not bad considering my friend paid $2000 for a 12W7 and a JL500/1

then a W7 with only 500watts, yes. that thing will be under powered. if he had a 1000.1 it would be a little different

Too bad he's running stock civic speakers

No kidding, that sub is way underpowered. But he could get another 500/1, one for each VC.

That would have cost him another 1000

Sucks to be Canadian!! $1000 for a 500/1. Surely he could get one cheaper somewhere?

Finally... someone else who feels my pain.
Just for reference, back when I did my setup..
Elite 5 components... $1600
Ti900.7... $3500
Xenon 100.4 and 600.1 were over $1k last I checked. I don't go there too often.

I really sometimes wonder how car audio is even so popular in Canada, if it wasnt for the internet I would just say fuck you to car audio, becuase I refuse to buy a future shop system like everyone else.
I wonder what my bro paid for a cyclone and 2 bandits back in the day
You Americans really have NO CLUE how lucky you are. I keep saying if one company could make connections with every major car audio manufacturer, to import their products at US cost, they would basically own the Canadian car audo market and would become a milionaire within a year.

I feel the same way.
Tom and the guys on this forum made my stereo what it is today. I'm happy and grateful! I love doing things myself but nothing beats a solid group of people for support and insight.
