Help with rail caps on ZX475ti

I was using the two sets of figures as examples only, not what I have found.

What I was trying to establish, is which of the figures was the least important if I can't find the exact specification.

For example - is it better to use a higher voltage and keep the others the same, or higher capacitance with voltage and temperature as factory etc etc.

The height of the capacitors can not be more than 25mm as the X/Over board fits above the top of the board mounted caps.

This is why who ever repaired the amp the last time fitted the 30mm high caps on flying leads.

I know that increase too much capacitance would maybe affect the amp so I prefer the second.
But if I was him I control if I can give 18x35 mm caps to that amp and I use panasonic FC 2200uf 50V 105° C.

My post was made in response to the one above.

Sorry if it came accross as if I as asking the same question again, but it was just to show Nico that I didn't just have the option of the two I used in examples.

If it was my amp, I would use these

But that is only if it were my amp, otherwise I have to say these are a better solution.

The fact that the capacitance is lower is not a big deal.......the original caps will have lost capacitance over time anyway. Not to mention the tolerance is likely +/-20%. On the lowest end that would put you at 1760uf....so 1800 should be safe, especially when they are new.

Just my 2 cents.

Yes I am tempted to agree.

Those options are the only ones I can find that fit physically.

After 5 hours in total spent yesterday evening and today, I am fed up of capacitors :lol:

Unless I can find a 105 C one in the next 30 minutes, I'll be going with 85C :)

I know the guy don't have any feedback at all, but for the price i'm risking it... Is there a way to test thoses caps once they came in, other than putting them in the amp?

Hmm, I'm sure I posted this an hour or so ago :?:

Anyway, I have now repaired the amp and it seems to be working ok.

Just have to rebuild everything in the new car and see how it goes :)
