I had a few studdered starts, but when I finally put together a system around the following was when it all finally came together. At the time I had an '85 Honda Accord.
Clarion 1770RT HU (cassettes still ruled, well at least for my wallet they did)
Clarion 5.25 coaxials up front, 6.5 in the rear.
Lanzar LXR 150 (2x50 4Ω, 2x75 2Ω)
Soundstream D200II (2x100 4Ω, 2x120 2Ω)
Coustic XM3 crossover
Orion XTR 12" (dual coil) sealed box
I had this setup for awhile, switched it into an '87 Accord. Replaced the rear 6.5s with Clarion 6x9s (SE2900). Replaced the Orion sub (the surrounds kept deteriorating, all replaced under warranty, but was tired of it) with a JL Audio 12W4 or 1, can't remember, in a ported box.
This setup was transferred quite a few times, although I did switch to a Kenwood KDC5001 CD HU at some point.
I still have laying around the Lanzar LXR amp, the Clarion HU, and the Clarion 6x9s.
Mine was early 90's when my brother came home with 2 Fosgate 10's and an RF amp (back when it was good). Also had some Boston comps up front. I loved it, but was only about 12. When I got a car, I was hooked on PG and never looked back. The old soundoff board pointed me in the right directions. First plan was an all XS (2500 to each xmax, 4600 to the fronts) but ended up getting a ZX500 from Cade.
The ZX series replaced the XS, and it turned into two ZX500s and a 450. Only plan now is to switch to all ti stuff.
