how will my m44 handle high input voltage?
i was wondering if it's gonna be a problem hooking my m44 up to pioneer deh-p860mp?
the manual for the m44 only mentions up to 2v input signal while my h-u delivers 6,5v signal max.
guess i could tune it down a bit but if i overstep 2v would it be a problem?

okay, thanks for the answers:)
my m44 hasnt been fired up for about 7-8 years though, anything i should take into consideration when i hook it up? any risk of the cap's leaking all over the pcb?
it is in mint condition and has been in little use.

I'd pop it open and take a look..... Even if it looks OK, I'd still do the cap swap to be safe.
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

I commented above that I run higher than that with no problems to mention. I run with AudioControl gear which usually goes to 10v.HoseHead wrote:Hi jack but on topic .........
So you're telling me that an M series amp can manage 8V from a TBA or EQ or PLD where the PG manual says 2V?
Advice and comments encouraged. Later.

This should apply to M series amps as well for input voltage. I'm pretty sure Eric D. has said that the MS amps won't handle 8 volts.
