ya Thats what i was thinking. I'd grab 40 feet just to be sure and get 12 ft. for the ground points, i mean do you really want to chance comin up a tad short. I would avoid the OEM fuse and either add your own or just wire straight to the battery from the alt. i know some people insist there has to be a fuse between the alt. and battery but the guys at Mechman where i got my new H.O. unit told me i could wire straight to the battery and avoid the giant Maxi fuse my car has. i do not think he would have told me that If it was terribly risky, again it's your choice. my .02
once you see what happens when a 4 awg welds itself to the frame, and the $$$ it takes to repair it you will slap the $20 for the fuse and holder to make sure you do not see it happen to your car.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Wow! Wire fail! I for one don't see any harm in using CCA if it is oversized. I bought some of the Knukonceptz KCA 1/0 cable and I will be running 1500 watts total (170 amps). It is my first time using CCA and this cable actually has a larger diameter than my PG and Stinger 1/0 copper wire. It makes it harder to fit into battery terminals and distro blocks though.

It's crazy, but i don't see anywhere on the box where it specify there is a 1/0 AWG cable...

But still, imagine someone who don't make some research before buying this one, plugs in some 1000w RMS amp with this shit, man with all the rubber there is on this one it would do a real nice toaster effect!

I would say closer to 12Gauge once we took off the insulation.

Sad part is people are buying this stuff then wondering why the proper stuff is so expensive or their systems sound like crap
