it is a kdc-bt838u and from the sub out my rca's are picking up distortion , it seems like it picks up the cd players movement and makes my sub pulse with the engine turned either on or off. any of your help is appreciated

sound like you need a better ground or like pioneer hu deck you need to ground the rcs
most of my gear is gone :liar:

could be the groud tracks inside the headunit i know they suffer this fault on the pie in ears

I would start by checking grounds, the usual. You can ground the outer shied of therca by simply inserting a small piece of wire between the connectors and then grounding that wire.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
