Xenon Aux. Out-Not in FAQ

Post by pionkej »

I was curious if anybody knew which input channel the aux out was tied to on the four channel amps (specifically the 200.4). I am planning to use the aux out for l-r rear fill and I am running 4-way active with a Pioneer P99. Since all of my channels are bandpassed before the amps, I need to know if it uses the front, rear, or front/rear input for the aux out. This makes a difference on if it can be done or how I hook it up as I want my rear fill to cover the same frequency as my front mids.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

crap, someone will have to test it. i know it bypasses the on board crossovers...

sorry, good luck. maybe sombody can remove the rear, the front rca's independently and see what the aux puts out

there isn't a button to select if it is on/off on the side? Normally there is along with the other selections and is tied into the channels selections that it is tied to.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

On my zx450 (older but still pg) it's tied to the rear. I also know that most pg amps the aux output xover is tied to the rear as well. This was true with my tantrum and with my zx. This is all just speculation, but might help you out...

Thanks for all the info. I have a "list" of things to do on my car and adding rear fill is still a couple of months away. Since getting a mic and RTA program is first on my list, I will just check it out when get around to it. I am running my midbass and midrange off one 200.4, so if it is tied to the front, I'll just swap the rca's at the amp and change my crossover points on the h/u.

I'll make sure I report back my findings as well.
