what to write?

Post by ttocs »

I finally got my eq back from service and installed/tested. Now that I was able to install and finish it I have a small panel infront of the eq that I made to cover the cables/connections up front. I have flush cut a piece of brushed plexi in it and plan on lighting it from below with something written on the back. I already have a surfboard logo and might use another on the doors so what should I write on this one? The plexi is 3" x 10", I considered a zero point logo since I will be running zero point rcas, and the rcas will somewhat shine through. Anyone have any other ideas of what would be cool to light up?

ah, its the roadster for my amp so that wouldn't that be "limited edition made in china" right?

today I flushed the plexi into the wood cover, and put a coat of primer on it to help fill the small gap between the two. I will probably paint the wood with a texture coat to match the eq215ix that it is next to.

I think I will have some fun with this and rather ten paint or etch my the design or logo I will just cut a decal with my cutter. This gives me the ability to change it when I get bored. I have been considering something to the effect of designed and installed by the cars owner but I am not that vain that I need my name on it. I like the idea of something to do with the zero point wire that I spent soo much time finding that will be right below this cover. The plexi it brushed so it will pick up the blue light below it very well but the rcas below it should still be fairly visable.

The original upgraded factory stereo was called the mach460, I have considered tagging mine the mach-scott and putting it there also/

Whatcha think? Any other good ideas?

With those dimensions I would probably do "Phoenix Gold" spelled out in the style that matches the surfer oval. You know, the one mhyde was thinking about for his euro style plates. Or you could do three smaller surfer ovals. When you use the ovals though I think you should tilt it up so the PG letters are mostly upright like the oval logo was intended. It never looked right to me when oriented so that the oval was horizontal.

the one on the plates was what was leaning towards but after playing around with it on my cutting program I think I made a zero point wiring sign that would look good too.

I just plan on putting decals on the back of the plexi so that I can always change them if I want.

Funny I always like the ovals horozontal which I Realize is not the way they were inteded but still just looks more natural to me for some reason.
