Before you go spending more money you should be able to get your vega sub working with that amp, take it to the shop and have them look at your setup and see if they can't get it working. If its a brand new sub it should work on a 2500.1

Actually the sub & amp was installed by local audio shop, I just wondering if the audio shop guy did not install it correctly or they just want me to spend more money to buy another sub/amp...

wait to buy anything. after you multi meter your amp, we should get a good idea of what needs to be fixed.

Is your multi meter set on AC voltage and thats the reading you get on the speaker terminals?

you just measuring a regular music signal right? You need to measure a test tone to get it more accurate

Could u measure the impendance of the stroker please. Switch the DMM to OHM and hold the wires onto the subs terminals. I don´t think that the amp is the problem.

The sub was not connected to any amp when I test it, it was in the box, I will go to the shop and borrow the meter again tomorrow!!

While taking the reading did you adjust the gain to see if there was any difference in output?
The shop that sold and installed this should have never let the car out the door until they had it working properly,if I sent out a car that the sub was clearly not working I would have probably got a week off to think about where I wanna work.

I bought the sub on Ebay and the seller's rating was good, damn him never reply my emails and I talk to Ebay and they claim its already pass 7 days so there is nothing much they can do...

Anyway, the problem is the shop here they dont know much about CV so they only know its no working but where & how they have no clues, this is the fxxking disadvantage in China...

I wrote the mail to CV and try to find out whether they have people in HK can help me exam the sub and repair it but never get replied...damn

but if there is no load it can't be 1ohm for the test?right

also if your at a shop just pick up a sub in the box hell even a home speaker to make sure the amp is not the problem. if it testing very little watts it will not hurt anything. Does you have pics of the set up maybe someone here can see a problem with xover, wireing ect.
if it is the amp your going to be one of the first of the NEW PG line I will say something later if it is :-#

Yes, that the center nipple looking thing. ifthe amp is not putting out power use you old car speaker to try it
Im sure if your adding a big amp and sub you have replaced some of the stock speakers
who care if you kill the speaker in 2 seconds.
But it doesn't sound like the sub to me if the amp is only putting out almost zero power. Even with small power wire(4g) you should get alot more power than we think he is getting. Weres Eric D when you need him. He tested some of the new pg amp maybe he has a Idea. Is there any cold soilder on these amps like say the Xe. amps?

take a 9 volt battery or a cordless drill battery and quickly touch (don't hold it on) each terminal on the sub to the battery it should move out if the polarity is correct and should suck in if the polarity is reversed. If the sub doesn't move its NFG.

Hi All:
The current enclosure size are 16" H x 22" W x 18" D = 2.80 FT3 and its sealed enclosure, what can be improved on this setup??

Also, can any body let me know what would be the correct enclosure size for Stroker 154 sub (new version)??
